The Nifty Harp Project C.I.C.
Sales Terms and Conditions
Sales terms and conditions will apply to all retail transactions between The Nifty Harp Project C.I.C. (The Seller) and any person or organisation (The Buyer) purchasing any goods via the website or in person.
By accepting a purchase order from the Buyer, the Seller agrees to sell goods at the price stated on the Nifty Harp Project website and the Buyer agrees to complete payment based on these stated Terms and Conditions.
Quoted Pricing
Website prices quoted in GBP, include VAT at its current rate where appropriate and are accurate at the time of publication.
Quoted prices do not include delivery costs and this additional cost is added at checkout, unless otherwise stated.
Order Processing – Harps and Accessories
All orders for harps and accessories must be placed through the Nifty Harp Project website.
The Buyer should select the items desired, place them in the basket and then proceed to the checkout stage to complete payment.
All UK shipping costs, if applicable, will be added at the checkout stage.
Payment Processing
All online transactions are processed via the PayPal secure payment system using protocol 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer), the strongest commercially available level of encryption.
Goods will only be despatched once payment has been confirmed as having been received in full.
Order Delivery – Harps
The Nifty Harp Project C.I.C. will endeavour to ship all harp orders to UK destinations within 10 working days from the date of order
Should any delay occur, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Seller will inform the Buyer of the expected delivery date by email as soon as possible.
The Buyer will be informed by email and text message when the harp has shipped, and tracking information will be provided at that point.
Within the UK the Seller offers a standard packing and delivery charge of £45.00 for The Wee Nifty Harp and stand (if ordered with the harp).
The stand and harp bag (if ordered separately from the harp) have a standard UK-wide shipping charge of £15.
The tuning key will be despatched free of charge to all UK destinations.
The Seller always use quality 48-hour services for UK deliveries of harp and large accessory shipments.
The Seller will email the Buyer with an indication of which day the courier may arrive. Precise delivery time slots cannot be given. The courier will attempt delivery and, if the recipient is not in to take delivery, a card will be left with written instructions to contact the local depot to re-arrange delivery or collection. It is the recipient’s responsibility to contact the courier to re-arrange.
Deliveries require to be signed for and it is the recipient’s responsibility to ensure they are available to do so. If a delivery fails and is returned to The Nifty Harp Project, re-delivery can only be arranged once the recipient pays the redelivery charge.
The Nifty Harp Project does not accept responsibility for loss or damage if the Buyer instructs the delivery company to leave the goods unattended ‘in a safe place’.
Insurance in transit is provided by The Nifty Harp Project and is included in the shipping price – this insurance is active until the goods are signed for as delivered, at which point the responsibility for insurance transfers to the Buyer.
The harp is securely packaged in a sturdy cardboard box with plenty of internal padding for protection.
The Buyer should retain the box for future use as replacements will be charged for.
Europe: Orders and Deliveries
The Nifty Harp Project C.I.C. will endeavour to ship all harp orders to European destinations within 14 working days from the date of order.
Should any delay occur, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Seller will inform the Buyer of the expected delivery date by email as soon as possible.
The Buyer will be informed by email and text message when the harp has shipped, and tracking information will be provided at that point.
Within Europe we have a standard packing and delivery charge of £65.00 for The Wee Nifty Harp and stand (if ordered with the harp).
The stand and harp bag (if ordered separately from the harp) have a standard Europe-wide shipping charge of £25.
The tuning key shipping charge will be £5 to all European destinations.

Rest of World: Orders and Deliveries
All orders from outside the UK or Europe will require a shipping quote to be generated by the Seller and approved by the Buyer.
The website will recognise the Buyer’s location and, if requesting a delivery to an address outside UK and Europe, the system will automatically create an order that will be emailed to the Seller for a shipping quotation.
No payment completion will be possible until the shipping costs are provided and accepted by the Buyer.
Strings and Accessory Deliveries
In the UK the Seller will send small items, such as printed music or tuning keys, via Royal Mail first class post. For delivery outside the UK Royal Mail International Standard service or equivalent will be used.
Strings and stock accessories will normally ship within one working day of receipt of the order.
Order Cancellation – Harps, Strings and Accessories
The Buyer has the right to cancel an entire order within seven days of placing and paying for the order of a harp, or until receiving notification that the Seller has shipped the order to The Buyer.
A successfully processed cancellation will enable the Seller to issue a full refund of all charges to the Buyer.
Returns Policy for manufacturing faults – Harps.
The Nifty Harp Project will always undertake to resolve any problems quickly, amicably and effectively.
In the unlikely event of any defect, incorrect product or faulty component, The Seller will ensure a rapid and positive resolution to the issue. The Buyer must contact the Seller directly by phone on 01721 760298 (if requested, leaving a message – we will deal with it within 24 hours – as we may be busy in the workshop and not always able to hear the phone) or send an email detailing the issue to admin@niftyharps.scot to receive authorisation before shipping a harp, in its original packaging, back to the Seller.
Returns Policy for manufacturing faults – strings and accessories.
If not completely content with items purchased, the Buyer can return them to the Seller within 14 days of receipt.
The Seller will offer to exchange or, if the Buyer wishes, issue a refund provided that the products are returned complete, in perfect condition, unused, unopened and with the original packaging.
The return of an item will be at the Buyer’s own cost, unless the item is faulty, and a redelivery cost will be charged for all items returned for exchange.
Transit Damaged / Faulty Goods
All items and their packaging must be inspected by the Buyer, for any outwardly visible signs of damage, before signing for them.
Significant transit damage: likely to have compromised the contents of the package, should be highlighted to the courier and the Buyer should refuse to accept/sign for the delivery. You must call The Nifty Harp Project on 01721 760298 or email admin@niftyharps.scot as soon as possible to notify the Seller. NOTE: If a visibly damaged delivery is not refused, and the Buyer does not notify the Seller accordingly, the Buyer shall not be entitled to reject the Goods and the Seller shall have no liability for such defect or failure, and the Buyer shall be bound to pay the price as if the Goods had been delivered in perfect condition.
Light transit damage: The Buyer should point out any packaging damage to the delivery driver and, even if slight or superficial, this should be noted when signing for the consignment.
NOTE: If such light damage is subsequently found to have compromised the package contents, you must call The Nifty Harp Project on 01721 760298 or email admin@niftyharps.scot as soon as possible, but certainly within three days of receipt/signing for the item/s. The Buyer must receive authorisation before shipping a harp, in its original packaging, back to The Seller.
Faulty items or goods with manufacturing defects: The Buyer must call The Nifty Harp Project on 01721 760298 or email admin@niftyharps.scot as soon as possible after noting a defect to obtain a returns authorisation. All items must be carefully packed in original packaging before return, after which a replacement or refund will be issued. Guarantee – Harps
For the original Buyer, Nifty Harps are guaranteed against manufacturing faults and materials defects for a period of two years from the date of purchase.
Repair or replacement of defective instruments will be at the discretion of The Nifty Harp Project. Where workmanship or material defects are confirmed, all repairs will be carried out free of charge by The Nifty Harp Project. Shipping charges to and from The Nifty Harps Project are the responsibility of the owner.
The guarantee does not cover any of the following: broken strings / damage to levers (where fitted), damage to wood or fittings incurred through normal usage / carelessness or accident damage / exposure to extremes of humidity, dryness or temperature.
Please familiarise yourself with the information on caring for your harp – this can be found on the website and in the original packaging.
Guarantee – Accessories
All accessories carry a manufacturer’s one-year guarantee.
Guarantee – Strings
Harp strings do not carry a warranty that covers against breakage.
Guarantee – Camac Levers
These are covered by Camac’s own manufacturer’s warranty.
Insurance
It is recommended that you insure your harp, commencing from the point that you take delivery. Such insurance will protect the harp against the kind of accidental damage that our guarantee cannot cover.

All such issues are dealt with within two working days and the aim of The Project is always to achieve a positive solution without fuss or hassle. Our workshop hours are 9:30 to 5:30 Monday to Friday.
